Circular No 20 Re-Registration Process

[ THIS CIRCULAR WAS HANDED TO LEARNERS ON 17 OCTOBER 2022]

According to the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION POLICY, all learners must be REGISTERED FOR THE FORTHCOMING 2023 ACADEMIC YEAR.

Please follow the guidelines to make this process efficient:

1. Learners will be issued with a re-registration form to update our records and confirm the return of the learner to Umbilo Secondary in 2023.

2. A school fee statement will be issued to each learner indicating arrears, which have to be settled for 2022.

3. A re-registration fee of R1200 is payable towards the 2023 fees.

4. A RE-REGISTRATION CARD will be issued to each learner, which will ensure entry into the school on 18 January 2023.

5. Should parents be unable to call at the school to return the updated information form and make the necessary payment, learners may be sent with the form and cash, or proof of payment into the school’s account.

6. This process will start on Monday, 24 October 2022.

7. Should parents be removing a learner from Umbilo Secondary, please call in personally with a written request for a transfer.

In order to secure a place for your child in 2023, it is imperative that parents realise the importance of completing this re-registration process. Failure to do so will lead us to believe that your child/ward will be leaving Umbilo Secondary.
